Join us at PEI's 2024 FieldSTEM Celebration.
When: Thursday, September 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Where: Lacey Community Center, 6729 Pacific Ave. SE, Olympia
Cost: $50.00
The theme is 'Changing Educational Landscapes' and that's exactly what we've been doing throughout Washington State in collaboration with educators and community partners like you. We celebrate those efforts at this event and recognize outstanding leaders nominated by our staff in five categories:
Teacher of the Year: Robin Driver, Eisenhower High School, Yakima
School of the Year: Ida Nason Aronica Elementary, Ellensburg
District of the Year: Tumwater School District, Tumwater
Community Collaborator of the Year: Mid Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group
FieldSTEM Champion: Mark Doumit, Washington Forest Protection Association (posthumously)
We will also honor two legislators TBA.
Outdoor, place-based education is a proven way to make learning relevant, engaging, and accessible for K-12 students. If you're ready for an evening of inspiration and connection with PEI's many partners in education, natural resources, and conservation, please join us.
The celebration will include a dinner, silent auction, and awards ceremony. I've attached a flyer and the registration link is below. Let me know if you have any questions and we hope to see you!
