Vancouver Audubon Society and you are birding in place! Bring a chair and join us for a stationary bird outing at Hockinson Meadows Community Park. We’ll stay in one spot to observe the local birdlife, focusing on unique behaviors and songs.
While this event is open to everyone, it is designed with accessibility and inclusivity in mind. No location is perfect, so we hope to provide as much access information as possible with the intention that each individual can make an informed choice about whether this outing fits their accessibility needs. For a more in-depth access review for this location, check out the Birdability Map and search for “Hockinson Meadows Community Park”
We will be setting up on a flat, short grass lawn alongside a paved walkway just 500 ft. from parking lot. No slopes or curbs are present. Please bring your own seating if you can, though we will have a few park benches and extra chairs to share. This site offers some shade, but it is not abundant. Please note that facilities here are limited to portable restrooms.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Sam at email above.
