Led by Vancouver Tree Team Specialist and certified arborist Adela Miller - joined by Friends of Trees Executive Director Yashar Vasef - we will take a guided tree walk in Vancouver!
Friends of Trees has been planting trees in Vancouver for 21 years! We'll visit trees we've planted recently and long ago, along with other trees of note.
A tree walk is a fun and engaging way to learn about trees & native plants and to connect with our urban forest. Whether you're a tree enthusiast or just want to enjoy a nice walk, it's a great opportunity to learn more about trees, get outside, and meet some fellow tree-lovers. Questions are always welcome!
Tree walks usually last about 90 minutes and we'll wrap up by 4:30 at the latest, but you are free to hop out early if you need to.
We'll share the meeting location a few days before the tree walk.
Tree walks are Rain or Shine unless weather is severe (if that's the case, we’ll notify you).
Please note: Registration is required. Tree walks are best with about 20 or fewer folks; this is so everyone gets a chance to ask questions and so you can hear everything. To help make sure everyone gets the most out of the tree walk we ask that you limit this invitation to just you, the recipient, and one guest only; and if more than 1 person in your household receives this invitation, bring a guest only if just 1 household member will attend.
For safety reasons, all participants will be required to sign a waiver.
We ask that you not bring your dog due to the preferences/needs of other guests. Support dogs are welcome.
