Join ESD 112, Pacific Education Institute (PEI), and The River Mile network (TRM) to participate in hands-on activities that engage students in investigating local ecosystems. We'll gather at Vancouver's Water Resources Education Center and also online via Zoom. Lessons will include fascinating crayfish and water quality studies, as well as student-driven inquiry projects. You will practice ways to help incorporate the outdoors into your lessons and engage students in meaningful, place-based learning. Use different tools to monitor native and invasive crayfish, assess water quality, and collect, analyze, and share data and student observations to benefit local ecosystems.
