Come experience the magic of a summer evening as day shifts into night. 🌅🌙
Join FBC.PDX & Bird Alliance of Oregon for TWO evenings of birds, bats, & bugs! Start by watching and listening to the birds as they settle in for the night, then switch gears as bats begin to emerge overhead and moths & other fascinating nocturnal insects gather at our UV light sheet. There will be a bat detector so you can actually hear bat echolocation, along with specimens, natural history, and plenty of time to ask questions and simply enjoy being outside together.
This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly event centered on curiosity, community, & appreciating the incredible wildlife that comes alive around us at dusk. This event is designed to be welcoming for queer, BIPOC, neurodivergent, &/or disabled community members, along with their people
