Beginning Bird Identification

Naturescaping of SW Washington

Watching birds from your window but not knowing what species they are? We will talk about the basics of bird identification and touch on some of the more common backyard birds in our area with a focus on our various sparrow species.

Identification may seem daunting at first, but with some simple tips you can learn the basic differences between your backyard visitors.

Time permitting, after the classroom presentation we hope to go out into the gardens and allow you to try your new skills so please dress appropriately.
