Animal Tracking Basics: Life along the water's edge with the City of Vancouver

Registration is required. Sign up today! Vancouver’s Water Center wetlands are home to many Columbia River animals. Learn how to interpret the clues left behind by learning foot morphology and gaits of our common wildlife residents. Class will be held outside, rain or shine. This class is great for beginners who want to grow their pattern recognition and animal tracking skills.

This class is suitable for adults and youth ages 10 and older. Expect to go slowly, often standing in one place, as we decipher the tracks we find. Plan to be off-trail and in sandy areas with uneven terrain and mud. All minors need to be accompanied by an adult.
